Cardiology Research Conference Poster Requirements

General Requirements

1. Eligibility:

  • Open to professionals and students in the field of cardiology and cardiovascular research.
  • Submissions must be original work.

2. Submission Deadline:

  • All abstracts must be submitted by September 15th 2024.

3. Abstract Guidelines:

  • Maximum 300 words.

  • Include title, authors, affiliations, background, methods, results, and conclusion.

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.

4. Poster Dimensions:

  • Standard poster size: 48 inches (width) x 36 inches (height).

  • Posters must be readable from a distance of 3 feet.

5. Presentation:

  • All presenters must be registered participants of the conference.

  • Each poster will have a designated time slot for presentation and Q&A.

Poster Types

Case Posters
Categories:
  • Clinical Cases: Unique or rare clinical presentations, innovative diagnostic procedures, and novel treatment approaches.
  • Interventional Cases: Detailed reports on interventional procedures, including new techniques and devices.
  • Complications: Analysis and management of complications arising from cardiovascular interventions or treatments.

Requirements:

  • Title: Clearly indicate the type of case.
  • Patient Information: Age, gender, and relevant medical history (ensure patient anonymity).
  • Case Description: Detailed narrative of the case.
  • Diagnostic Workup: Include imaging, lab results, and other relevant data.
  • Treatment and Outcomes: Description of treatment, interventions, and patient outcomes.
  • Discussion: Insights, learning points, and relevance to clinical practice.
  • References: Cite relevant literature.
Research Posters

Categories

  • Basic Science: Cellular and molecular cardiology research, including genetics, pathophysiology, and experimental studies.
  • Clinical Research: Studies involving patient populations, clinical trials, and epidemiological research.
  • Health Services and Outcomes Research: Research on healthcare delivery, policy, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Innovations and Technology: Development and application of new technologies, devices, and digital health solutions.

Requirements

  • Title: Reflect the research focus and scope.
  • Introduction: Background and rationale for the study.
  • Methods: Study design, population, data collection, and analysis techniques.
  • Results: Clear presentation of data, including tables, graphs, and statistical analysis.
  • Conclusion: Summary of findings, implications for cardiology, and future research directions.
  • Acknowledgments: Funding sources and contributions from other researchers or institutions.
  • References: Cite relevant literature.

Additional Requirements

    • Poster Setup:
      • Posters must be set up by [Insert Setup Time] on the first day of the conference.
      • Each poster will be assigned a specific location in the poster hall.
    • Poster Removal:
      • Posters must be removed by [Insert Removal Time] on the last day of the conference.
      • Any posters not removed by the deadline will be discarded.
  • Judging Criteria:
    • Originality and innovation.
    • Scientific rigor and methodology.
    • Clarity of presentation and visual appeal.
    • Relevance to cardiology and potential impact on the field.
  • Awards:
    • Awards will be given for the best poster in each category.
    • Criteria for awards include scientific merit, originality, and quality of presentation.

By following these requirements, participants will ensure that their posters meet the standards for presentation at the cardiology research conference.
